Mangaluru: Customs at Mangaluru International Airport has won foreign currencies – US dollars and UAE Dirham – in two separate incidents, and ordered two smugglers.
Officers confiscated $ 10,000 in 100 denominations (equivalent to 7.4 lakh Rs) from a man who was a Kasagagod resident in Kerala.
He tried to smuggle foreign currencies through flight bound to Sharjah on Monday.
Customs Tuesday seized AED 90,000 (equivalent to 17.8 lakh Rs) from a man who is a resident of Mangaluru.
He tried to smuggle foreign currency to Dubai.
