Panaji: Former St Cruz Mla Victoria Fernandes, who represents the election for some terms, is the realization of ‘Ladki Hoon, Laad Sakti Hoon’, Secretary General of Congress Priyanka Gandhi said while campaigning for Victoria’s son on Monday, Monday.
“His mother is a genuine warrior.
As his son, he will keep the promises he made to you,” Gandhi said at a public meeting at St Cruz.
He asked for a voter to make a ‘true’ choice to advance.
“The strength of your country,” Gandhi said, added that while carrying out their franchises, people should not think they chose BJP, Congress, TMC or AAP.
“Think you choose to save the country of more destruction.
Five years of destruction, and you will not be able to return it.
Goa is a gem.
We look at you because you are a progressive country,” he said.
Goa’s unemployment rate is ranked second in the country even though the state has all the resources, abilities and youth educated, Gandhi said.
The voters, he said, must look for an explanation from the BJP government why in the past 10 years the price of essential commodity governance has risen so high and why the economy almost collapsed.
“We will not let diesel prices and gasoline beyond Rs 80 per liter,” Gandhi said when he registered various guarantees in the party manifesto released last week.
He said BJP had tried to uphold his ideology on Goa.
“There is no space for the sound, culture or identity of Goa in the BJP ideology.
Very clear.
When they talk about Goa’s government, they want to impose outside ideas,” Gandhi said.
He appealed to people to choose a stable government, which could only be conveyed by the Congress, he said Gandhi also held a door-to-door campaign in Panaji where the former Elvis Gomes bureaucrat fought from.
He visited several houses in Mala and had a short conversation with residents, introduced them to Gomes and distributed party manifesto.
He also campaigned in the constituency of St Andre and Cumbharjua.
