Jaipur: In the first eight days of February, 139 people died of Covid in the state compared to 173 deaths in the last eight days of January,.
The state has reported 19.6% of Covid’s death decreases in the first eight days of February compared to the last eight days in January.
However, during the same period, Covid cases also reduced by 42%.
A senior health department official said that while the case had diminished rapidly, death had reduced too, but not in the proportion where the Covid case declined.
The country reported 3,479 new Covid cases in 24 hours brought the total calculation of up to 12.50.891.
Sixteen people died too, took the victim to 9,407.
The active case in the country decreases from 40,880 to 37,278.
Jaipur reported 1140 cases of Covid-19.
Active cases in Jaipur decreased from 9,676 to 9,236 in 24 hours.
The four deaths were reported from Jaipur, the two deaths were reported from Bikaner, Jodhpur and one mortality reported from the city, Sikar, Sirohi, Ajmer, Alwar, Baran, Churu and Jhunjhunu.
The Ministry of Health officials say that most deaths occur among those who have comorbidity.
“The 60-year-old person died because Covid who died at the District Hospital in Sikar experienced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and he suffered from the heartburn,” said Dr.
Ajay Chaudhary, head of medical health, Sikar.
