Thiruvananthapuram: In the case of alleged suicide, a 49-year-old man who was undergoing treatment for Covid, was found dead in the hospital room below the Nedumangad police station on Tuesday.
John of Mailamoody House, Kizhakkupuram, near Uzhamalaikkal is the deceased.
Police said John was found hanging in his room at the Rims Hospital, Valicode, around 8am on Tuesday by the hospital staff.
Allegedly he was suspected to die of suicide at around 7:45 a.m.
on Monday and 7.45 in the morning on Tuesday.
The son of John AnoJ told the police that John suffered from diabetes.
He also breastfeeded injury to his left leg as a result of diabetes.
But, he was taken to the Rims Hospital on Sunday after his condition was getting worse.
He was tested positive for Covid before entering.
It is suspected that mental depression for poor health may have triggered him to take extreme steps.
