Ahmedabad: The city on Thursday recorded 700 new positive cases, the lowest in the last 38 days.
This is a 27% decline in everyday case from 965 on Wednesday.
It was higher than the decline of the state by 11% – from 2,560 on Wednesday to 2,275 on Thursday.
The country recorded a slight decline in Covid mortality from 24 on Wednesday to 21 on Thursday.
Case analysis and death revealed that eight major cities accounted for 56% of everyday cases – the lowest in 104 days.
In addition, out of daily death, only 9 or 43% of the total deaths come from the city.
Ahmedabad and the city of Vadodara recorded four deaths respectively.
With debit 8,172 patients, the active case in Gujarat went below 25,000 – at 21,437 – the lowest since January 8 for Ahmedabad, cases walked below 10,000 after 34 days.
Of the total, the number of inpatients was less than 140, said the Ministry of Health officials.
Throughout Gujarat, 143 patients were in the ventilator.
Gujarat in 24 hours vaccinated 27,580 people for the first dose and 1.06 lakh for the second.
Overall, 5.16 crore was given first and 4.71 crore the second dose of the covid vaccine.
