Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh (UPCC) Congress Committee has expelled the leader of the Senior Party of Jitendra Tiwari for six years from the primary membership of the party on charges of injustice and anti-party.
Tiwari was also accused of leveling false accusations to senior party leaders for making money to provide tickets in the polls of the State Assembly Committee office at Nol Road a few days ago.
Congress district spokesman Haseeb Ahmad told TI that Tiwari worked against the party during the polls of the State Assembly.
The action against Tiwari was initiated by the UPCC on the recommendation of the President of the Presidential Congress Committee.
Haseeb added, “After the announcement of the candidate by Party High Command on February 7, Tiwari was looking for nominations from the Karchhana assembly seat and he had also leveled allegations of senior party leaders to make money to offer tickets.
Haseeb also claimed that he was with him supporters had searched Furniture and posters at the District Congress Committee Office in Zero Road and also damaged the portraits of senior party leaders.
