Kolkata: The BJP and Left Front pulled out of the commotion at Dinhata Cooch Behar a day after “intimidation” by the supporters of the Trinamool Congress from the opposition candidate who went to the SDO office to submit a nomination, giving a ruling party in the city of Dinhata Walkthia after Sainthia in Birbhum and Budge Budge in 24 South Parganas.
BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari led the delegation to the State Election Commission on Thursday and demanded that he canceled polls in Dinhata, Sainthia, Bolpur and Budge Budgets in which party candidates were prevented from nominating archiving.
“We want the State Election Commission to cancel the Dinhata poll along with several others.
But the SEC has become a Trinamool frontal organization,” Adhikari said.
Behar Secretary CPM Cooch Ananta Roy said Trinamool had changed Dinhata’s poll to “jokes”.
He showed that the left deployed four candidates despite “Trinamool Terror” there.
“We will campaign about Dinhata’s situation throughout the district,” said Roy.
Dinhata Mla Udaya Guha, Trinamool said both BJP and left did not have the strength of the organization in Dinhata to combat the election.
The CPM leader from Siliguri Ashok Bhattacharya adjacent said his party was very much in a commotion and claiming people would choose the left to reject Trinamool and BJP.
Violence and intimidation continued in the Bengal, cutting party lines.
Tapan Trinamool worker Pradhan was shot on Wednesday at a tea shop at Purba Midnapore’s Pathpur.
He rushed to the Super Patashpur special hospital.
Local residents arrested Prime Chillus Sanjib Nayek and beat him.
Trinamool leaders accused Nayek was a BJP supporter but BJP denied, he was a resident of Kolkata.
In Khagra Behrampore, criminals opened fire at Congress’s Ward 3 Tumpa Sarkar House candidate at 11:40 a.m.
on Wednesday.
Women’s Mondal and Laxmi Watershed candidates from the ward 8 and 14 filed a complaint of the police “open threat” by a criminal supported by Trinamool.
The Trinamool leaders drove the allegations, said the Congress tried to arouse sympathy.
BJP candidate Bajiri Bairagi from Ward 10 City Bongaon filed a police complaint against Trinamool, said he was beaten.
