Pune: Private Vaccination Center in RudidWadi in Pimpri Chinchwad was forced to throw 800 covishield doses after the bottle crossed the expiration date, members of the Indian Medical Association said on Thursday.
Members said the incident might be the first example of being recorded from the preventable waste of bulk vaccines.
They added that more cases like that tend to be if the government did not enter to store stock in a private hospital.
Ima earlier said as many as 50 doses of lakh covishield tend to be dispose of in many private hospitals in this country, because of the expiration expiration.
Free jab on the government site has cut the bridge to the person.
“We may see a loss of vaccines that are more spared if the initial steps are not taken by the government.
According to our information, the private center is disposed of, or set aside, 800 doses of covishield because the dose has expiration 29 January,” said Dr.
