Pune: Deputy Chief of Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday said the Maharashtra government contemplated opening the next state in the phase after a decline in the Covid case this week.
“We discussed the Covid review meeting if possible some relaxation for functions in the auditorium, banquet room and wedding ceremony.
I will discuss it with the minister’s chairman because it must be carried out throughout the country,” he said.
He said the auditorium and banquet space today have a 25% guest hosting mandate from their capacity or 200, which is lower.
The same applies to weddings.
Theater and Natyagrihas operate with a capacity of 50%.
Deputy Minister of Chief says the problem of relaxation for the celebration of Shiv Jayanti in the coming week will also be discussed with the chairman of the minister.
Ajit Pawar said there was a decrease marked in cases in Pune District this week with a weekly leading level (WPR) to 15% to 9% of the country.
Last week, Pune District WPR was 26.6%.
WPR in the Pune Municipal Corporation area was 18.7% last week.
It was 11.1% at the corporate corporate limit of the city of Chinchwad and 14.5% in this week’s rural areas, the health department said.
About 54% of the decline in new cases registered in the district on February 3-9 Sunday compared to the period January 27-2 February.
The recovery rate in Pune District for this week was 97.4% and the case mortality rate was 1.3%.
Ajit Pawar said the vaccination of beneficiaries in the age group of 15-18 years has declined because of the availability of Covaxin in the district city.
“I was told that many centers did not have enough covaxin.
I will take it with the center to ensure its adequate supply,” he said, directing officials to intensify vaccinations for this age group in the city.
