Greater Noida: The police on Sunday arrested a 20-year-old man for the murder of Rahul Bhati, the son of BSP Workers Hargovind Singh Bhati, who was missing on Friday.
The defendant has been identified as Pravesh Kumar, a resident of Dadri, who is a close family friend of the victim.
Rahul, a resident of Greater Noida, has gone to work on a motorcycle on Friday morning but does not return home at night.
His family members initially went around looking for him, but late at night they didn’t find it.
After this was his father, Hargovind Singh Bhati, who was the Mandal Coordinator of Meerut BSP, filed a complaint to the police.
On Saturday, the police found the body of Rahul in the Surajpur Greater Noida area and also found a motorcycle found 4 km from the body.

The police arrested the defendant from Thapkheda Village in Greater Noida on Sunday.
“During the interrogation, it was found that Pravesh thought Rahul was having a relationship with the first 24-year-old sister, and he was not happy with it.

The defendant was ordered under 302 (murder) IPC.
