Bengaluru: Karnataka on Sunday reported 2,372 new cases of Covid-19 and 27 deaths, taking the calculation to 39,26,669 and the toll road became 39,640.
There was 5,395 release today, pushing the total recovery to 38,51,298, a health bulletin said.
From new cases, 1,059 came from Bengaluru Urban who saw 2,501 people being repatriated and 7 deaths related to the virus.
The total number of active cases throughout the country is now 35,697.
While the level of participation for that day reached 2.31 percent, the case mortality rate (CFR) was 1.13 percent.
Of 27 deaths, 7 came from Bengaluru Urban, Mysore 4, Dakshina Kannada 3, Davangere, Dharwad and Tumakuru 2, followed by others.
After Bengaluru Urban, Mysuru recorded the second highest number of cases with 148, Ballari 112, Besiavi 96, Dakshina Kannada 92, Tumaku 74, followed by someone else.
Urban Bengaluru Regency now has a total of 17,70,868 cases, mysuru 2.28,583 and tumakuru 1,59,209.
Cumulatively, the total sample of 6.34 crore has been tested, where 1.02.279 on Sundays only.
