Chennai: A fatal drunk TV journalist knocked down a woman at the beginning of Sunday morning in Thiruvanmiyur arrested.
The deceased was identified as Valli, 41, from Periyar Nagar in Thiruvanmiyur.
He rode a bicycle to reach his workplace when the car was driven by H Jebarson, a journalist from a private TV channel, crashing into the Jayanthi theater signal, killing him in place.
Jebarson tried to escape, but some people chased him and handed it to the police.
The source said he returned from a party and was drunk.
He has been returned in court detention.
