Chennai: New cases in Chennai fell below 1,634 on Monday when cases in all regency regency restrictions and Vellore reported a decline from their calculations on Sunday when the country had 2,296 new cases.
17 deaths took the country’s cumulative victims to 37,932.
Tenkasi (4) and Vellore (11) report a marginal increase in new cases of 3 and 10 cases they report on Sundays.
Although Chennai continued to add a list of districts with the maximum number of cases, new cases fell to 341 new cases, followed by 305 fresh additions in Coimbatore and 116 in Chengalpet.

While Chennai has 5,746 patients under isolation, Coimbatore has 5,303.
Chengalpet has 2,967.
All other districts reported fewer than 100 cases each.
While nine districts reported less than 10 cases, Tenkasi (4), Mayiladuthurai (3), Tirupathur (3), Screenson (2) and Theni (2) each had less than five cases.
Seven percent active cases -2,658 people were in the hospital.
Among the 1264 is on the bed of oxygen and 451 is in the ICU.
Of the 17 deaths, there were three in Coimbatore, each in Chennai and Erode and one in Tiruppur, Tiruvallur, Kanyakumari, Trichy, Tiruvarur, Tirunelvar, Maduruthurai and Tirupathur.
All deceased is over 60 years.
The youngest is a 69-year-old man, nine in the 70s and seven in their 80s.
A total of 93,252 people took vaccinations on Monday, and cumulative vaccination coverage for prevention doses from January 10 touched 5.5 lakh.
