Ed looking in Delhi, up the conversion line

New Delhi / Lucknow: The enforcement directorate searches in six places in Delhi and rises on Saturday in connection with the investigation into money laundering related to the alleged “forced conversion” above.
The upper police anti-terrorist troops previously submitted FIR and arrested six, including Umar Gautam and the Qazi Mufti of Jahangir Qasmi.
On June 25, Ed has registered a case under the prevention of money laundering law, 2002 against Mohammed Umar Gautam, Mufti Kazi Jahangir Qasmi and Islamic Dawah Center (IDC) in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar.
The two defendants were in ATS custody.
Ed has claimed that Umar and Qasmi were involved in large-scale conversions throughout India.
Ed refers to what is called “fact” that appears during the search for where they are in Jamia Nagar (Delhi) and other places in Lucknow and Sant Kabir Nagar.
Ed was involved in the case only after ATS in the initial probe traced documents on alleged illegal contributions and transfers from various countries, especially in the Middle East, into the account of Umar Gautam and trust known as Fatima Charitable Trust (FCT).
Al Hassan’s Education & Welfare Foundation is at the location of Lucknow Malihabad, and has an office in Hardoi.
Accused Umar Gautam was the Vice President of this Foundation, but after his arrest he was removed from the post.
Police sources said the accused of being arrested, Salahuddin Jainuddin, was a member of the guidance & association of welfare.
“Some burdensome documents have been confiscated during the search, which revealed the large-scale conversion carried out by Umar Gautam who was accused and his organization throughout India.
The documents also revealed the receipt of foreign funds from several crores by their organizations for illegal conversion,” said Ed.
Previously, ATS ATS had claimed after the arrest of the wrong Sheikh of Vadodara that Umar and his colleagues had changed more than 1,000 people with Islam to attract them with “money, work, and marriage offers”.
The search for ed which includes IDC, residence of Umar and Qasmi, all in Jamia Nagar, Delhi.
Al Hassan Education Office and the Welfare and Education Foundation and the welfare community have also been sought.
