Rajkot: Acting on a tip, branch of local crime (LCB) Detective Police Jamnagar damaging the racket of cricket betting and arresting four people to form Jamnagar on Saturday night.
The defendant received a bet for the Twenty20 international match between West Indies and South Africa.
The police carried out an attack at the office of one of the defendants, Abdul Kanan Nur Mohmmad Khafi, in Kishan Chowk in Jamnagar around midnight and arrested Ashok Dattani, Tushar Mehta, Abdul level of Khafi.
The police confiscated cellphones, TV and cash 17.92 lakh from the place.
“During the main probe, the name of 10 people who bet on this match and two gambling dealers and vitthal has emerged.
We have launched the probe to ensure the identity of the two gamblers and locations from where they operate a racket,” said a police officer.
