Louisville: A Kentucky girl snatched from her bicycle by a stranger was found quickly, returning to her family, and a suspect was charged with kidnapping thanks to the fast action of neighbors and police, the authorities said.
Those who watched the girl be taken from the Louisville neighborhood on July 2 quickly called 911 with a detailed description of the vehicle and partial plate number, police spokesman Beth Ruoff to news outlets.
He said officers responded immediately and saturated the area.
“You can’t get there fast enough,” Jason Burba’s officers, who were among those who responded.
“Seconds feel like hours.
Your only mind will get there as soon as possible.” The police found a car that matched the description given within 30 minutes and arrested Robby Wildt, 40, which was charged with kidnapping minor.
He begged innocent.
Neighbors Prentiss Weatherford, who witnessed the child taken, told whas-tv he saw a car coming in the corner and parked in the middle of the road.
He said a man came out and grabbed the girl “by the collar, threw a bicycle, put it in a passenger seat, and then left.” Weatherford said he chased the vehicle and could get a partial plate number.
When the officer found a vehicle, the video camera video showed the burb opened the side door to the passenger to find a crying girl while Sgt.
Joe Keeling put Wildt detained.
“I want my father!” The little girl cried when the burbon took her from the car.
Kidnapping foreigners is rare, police said.
“Even though we don’t want the community to be worried, this is certainly an educational opportunity for parents to remind their children that the ‘danger of strangers’ is real.
It is important to talk to your children about adults who try to use their fishing tricks to their vehicle or far from public views, “Ruoff said.
