Paris: The number of French records has booked a promise for Jab Covid-19 after President Emmanuel Macron announced restrictions that were not vaccinated, including required tests to enter the restaurant.
The head of the Doctolib website, the main site to order a promise of vaccination, the word traffic was generally high after the Macron television speech on Monday night.
“We recorded 20,000 promises per minute, an absolute record since the start of the campaign, and continued at night and to this morning,” said BOSS Stanislas Niox-Chateau to BFM TV.
A total of 926,000 people have ordered Jab, with 65 percent below 35, he added.
Macron says anyone who wants to eat or drink, take a remote train, or visit the shopping center needs to show “health pass”, which means evidence of vaccination or negative tests.
Pass will also be needed to attend the Festival, theater performances, or screening of cinema as part of the government’s strategy to overcome the surge in the number of new cases related to the Delta variant.
The free Covid test will expire in September “to encourage vaccination instead of taking a lot of tests”, Macron added in a speech witnessed by 22 million people.
The head of state also announced mandatory vaccinations for health staff, retirement home workers, and others who worked with vulnerable people from September in line with similar movements in Greece, Italy and England.
Facing criticism on social media that the government forced people to be vaccinated against their desires, the Minister of Health Olivier Veran said the health pass was “not sanctions, it was not extortion”.
He said the country was far from a situation where the general population was told that they would be vaccinated.
“Pass health makes your life easier,” he said, adding: “We want to avoid locking at all costs.” The number of new cases increased sharply in France, up to more than 4,000 cases in the last few days because the Delta variant was more contagious.
About 35.5 million people only half of the French population have received at least one dose of vaccine so far, but the injection rate has slowed in recent weeks.
At the beginning of the pandemic, France had several levels of the highest vaccine skepticism in developed countries.
