Mangaluru: Heavy rain in Western Ghats see Kumaradhara Ghat at Kukke Subrahmanya Temple, about 100 km from Dakshina Kannada District, submerged on Wednesday.
Avabrhruta Katte, bathrooms, and a dressing room near Ghat are also flooded.
The area has received continuous rain for the past four days.
The Kumaradhara River flows above the danger level, but a new bridge built near the Submersible Bridge, is still worthy of traffic.
The worshipers who had arrived at Kukke had committed a ritualistic bathing on the banks of the river instead of Ghat.
With Kothataka opened the temple, most of the worshipers from Bengaluru and other districts with the famous Subrahmany Kuku Temple.
This temple is also one of the highest income income for the endowment department.
