Rajkot: A 37-year-old sanitation worker allegedly cut off his none and then ended his life by hanging himself at his residence on Tuesday night.
The source of the police department told me that Mukesh Sonwal, blamed Bhuj Municipality, wrote a message with his blood on the wall of the room where he ended his life.
According to the police, Sonwal, who lives near the RTO circle in Bhuj City, was found hanging on his residence on Wednesday morning.
He worked as a sanitation worker with the Drainage Department of Bhuj Municipality.
“Nagar Palika E Mara RS 30,000 Chori Lidha ‘(the municipality has stolen my 30,000 Rs) written with his blood on the wall of the room where he was found hanging,” said the police department source.
Soon after news about Sonowal suicide spread, many sanitation workers won in the postmortem room and blamed the municipality for the incident.
They blame civilian body for the exploitative work system and to pay them small wages.
Sonwal survived 17 years old son and nine-year-old daughter.
His wife died a few years ago.
