Milan: Rampaging forest fires in Central Sardinia has forced the evacuation of 900 people because the fire threatened several residential areas and the others were hit by solid smoke, said firefighters on Monday.
There are no deaths or injuries that have been reported.
France and Greece sent aircraft to help fire forest fires, who had consumed around 20,000 hectares (nearly 50,000 hectares) in Oristano Province.
The firefighters struggled all night bring control of fire near the Montiferro city which moved 400 residents over the weekend.
The Wildfires, which broke out over the weekend, had spread with dry south winds.
