Rajkot: Two people were killed and seven others were injured when a quick truck hit a car where the victims traveled from behind behind the city of Limbdi at Rajkot-Ahmedabad Highway on Wednesday night.
Alment was identified as Jagdish Thakkar (68) and his wife Sumitra Thakkar (65).
While those who were injured include Ghanshyam Thakkar, Sarswati Thakkar, Kirit Thakkar, Sweta Thakkar, Madhuben Thakkar, Vidhi Thakkar, and Subh Thakkar.
All belongs to the city of Kheda in the center of Gujarat.
According to the police, the Thakkar family came to the city of Virpur near Rajkot to give a prayer in a temple, and return home when the accident occurred.
A fast truck crashed into the car from behind wounding nine people in it.
Jagdish and Sumitra were taken to the hospital in the limbdi where they gave up on injury.
Seven injured were in hospital treatment at Ahmedabad.
