Vadodara: Health officials from Vadodara Regency have begun to collect samples for the first sero survey for Covid-19 in the district.
Overall, 1,800 samples will be collected for surveys.
The Sero survey will be conducted in various districts in the state, but it will be for the first time that such exercises will be taken in Vadodara.
After the district, similar exercises will be taken in the city by Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC).
Collection of samples on Thursday was carried out by the Health Team of the Vadodara Panchayat district.
The source said that around 1,150 samples were collected during the drive by the team.
This process will be completed on Friday by collecting the remaining samples.
Officially said that samples will be carried out from different age groups, gender and other specified criteria.
The sample will be analyzed in the laboratory in the city itself and the results will be compiled.
Voice at VMC said that the training team process was being carried out.
After this is complete, the sample collection will begin.
They added that the number of samples is expected to remain the same as those collected by officials in the district.
