Mangaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a search in Bhatkal, Uttara Kannada Regency, and arrested a man allegedly related to the Islamic State.
The man who was arrested, Jufi Jawhar Damudi, was Brother Adnan Hasan Damudi, who was arrested in 2016 for alleged related activities.
Adnan was under detention in a separate Nia case.
Nia said a registered case in New Delhi on June 29 in connection with a conspiracy for radicals and recruiting youth.

On Wednesday, the agency conducted a simultaneous search in five locations throughout India, including three in Kashmir, Bengaluru and Mangaluru, and captured four operatives.
From Ullal, Sleuth took Ammar Abdul Rahman and Shankar Venkatesh Perumal from Bengaluru.
