Vadodara: The police have launched a Hunt for a Constable SRP in connection with complaints of rape submitted by a married woman who lives in the Warasia region.
The police also looked for COP mothers and sisters who escaped suspected of being part of a conspiracy.
The complainant, a 38-year-old woman and mother of two children, has alleged that the defendant Mohammed Ejaz Sheikh has lured him into the affair after sending him a request for friendship on Facebook in June last year.
He has introduced himself as Anil Parmar.
The woman told the police that she learned about Sheikh’s real identity only when they met at a hotel in Kuisjigunj and she completed her identity card.
At the hotel, Sheikh allegedly raped him but promised to change his religion before marrying him.
Then, the defendant even visited a woman at her house.
Sheikh also told the woman’s husband, who was in Dubai, about their relationship, so he would divorce him.
He also took him to meet his family in the Salamabatpura area in the letter.
The woman further accused that her mother and sister Sheikh, Sumaiya, was friendly to her.
However, after a few days, they began to suppress him to release his religion and accept their practice.
When they continued to pressure, the woman left Sheikh and returned to Vadodara and approached the police to register complaints against Sheikh and his family.
Based on the women’s complaint, violations of rape, criminal attacks and intimidation were registered at the City Police Station on August 5, said Inspector P B Vania from the city police.
Sheikh has been part of the SRP since 2013 and is currently posted with the SRP Group 17 in Jamnagar.
