Vadodara: General manager of Ch Jewelers and his friend was arrested on Monday late at night to suck 24 carat gold coins weighing 7,853 grams last year and sell it illegally.
Gold coins have been appreciated at RS Four Crore.
Shop owner Paresh Soni filed a complaint of cheating, theft, forgery and criminal conspiracy against General Manager Soni Veereral and his friend Taraj Dewanji at the police station Ijigunjijo when the fraud was excavated last month.
Soni used to serve a fake credit voucher at cash counter and forge the cashier signature to suck gold coins.
Then, he will erase the invoice from the system because it has access to a computer password.
The showroom cashier became suspicious with Soni used to present the same voucher with fake customers with names such as Meet Patel, Manav Patel and Marmic Patel.
The cashier told the paresh which then questioned Soni.
Police said that Soni had acknowledged the crime and gave the reason that he needed money to send his son abroad for further study and repay home loans, so he used to suck coins since 2016.
After sucking coins, he used to sell them through His friend Dewanji and paid for the commission for it.
After Admission Soni, Paresh approached the police and the duo was arrested.
Police said that Soni had worked in showroom since 2011 and saw his appearance and beliefs, he was used as a general manager of the Showroom in 2014.
