BELAGIVAVI: Anti-Corruption Bureau Sleuth invaded the official residence of Krisar Krisar, police supervisor, Hindalga Prison, in pursuing bribery cases related to Sasikala, closing the late Jayalalitha, then the Minister of Tamil Nadu.
In 2018 ACB had submitted FIR after Deputy Inspector General of Do Do Ropa has submitted a complaint that accuses corruption in the Director General of HN Satyanarayana Rao Prison.
Roopa accused Rao had received money in return to offer VIP treatment for Sasikala in the Agrahara Parapula Prison.
Krishna Kumar was responsible for Bengaluru prison when Sasikala served guard.
ACB on Wednesday stormed Krishna Kumar’s house and looked for a place for several hours.
However, they could not find anything and leave said officers must work together in further investigation.
According to sources at ACB, there was a suspicion that Krishna Kumar benefited in an agreement to ensure VIP treatment to Sasicala in prison.
Further sources said they had received information about Krishna Kumar who bought assets with the same money and therefore the search was made.
Kumar was also a witness in this case when he reported to Satyanarayana Rao.
When contacted, Krishna Kumar told TI that the attack was a routine legal procedure as a case submitted against former DGP.
“My man who is very honest and ACB can’t find anything in my house even after a detailed search,” he said.
He further said the attack was related to the 2018 case filed against the former DGP of prison and he was one of the witnesses.
He said that during his duty in Bengaluru, he was truly transparent and suspicion was unfounded and wrong.
“I’m not afraid because I didn’t make a mistake when Sasikalam was in prison,” he added.
