Vadodara: If the source at Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) must be trusted, that changes are carried out on the command of a Canporator which is believed to be a heavy and influential class on the board now.
The executive engineer under the scanner, Pramod Vasava, said to brass the Civic body that he changed the list to accommodate the names ordered by selected representatives.
The Mayor Keyur Rokadia also mentions that Vasava claims that he changed the names under pressure.
However, Rokadia denied leaking further details when asked whether the pressure came from the selected VMC members.
The source shows that the Corporator status is the main reason why no name is taken.
Rokadia said that the probe began after he and the city engineer responsible for Shailesh Mistry received complaints by telephone regarding changes in recipients after the draw.
Representatives were selected also raised this problem with Mistry.
On Monday, the rokadia ordered an investigation into the accusation.
“On Tuesday, Mistry confirmed that the list was changed.
We asked the consultant for the change and he told us that it was done on the command of Vasava, in turn, claiming he did it under someone’s pressure,” said Mayor.
