Pune: Four men entered four flats in the housing complex in Bhosari in early Sunday and made with cash and gold ornaments for at least Rs 3.3 lakh.
Residents from one of the flats noticed the suspicious movement and immediately told other residents and the Pimpri Chinchwad police control room.
“A patrol team from Police Bhosari immediately reached the place, forcing the thieves to escape before they could enter more flats,” Vikrant Patil, a resident of the Atharva community, in Bhosarigaon told TII.
The housing community is located in Sector 1 in Bhosari.
There are 60 flats in four community blocks, which appoint security agents.
“When the thief entered the place where the community was asleep in the parking lot,” another resident said.

Vate goes to his original place, while his wife visits relatives.
Thieves broke around 1.45 in the morning and escaped with cash and jewelry worth RS3.3 Lakh.
“They also seized three other flats.
The owners are outside the city.
We have told them.
The police will be able to ascertain what was stolen from the flat so the owner returned,” said Patil.
A police officer said they were studying CCTV recordings from the building.
“There are four men who cover their faces.
We are working on it,” the officer said.
