A big fire broke out in the plastic sheet unit in Savli

Vadodara: a large fire broke out in a plastic sheet manufacturing unit in Lamdapura Village in Savli Taluka on Saturday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the fire began due to short relations and spread rapidly throughout the manufacturing facility.
There were no victims reported as six workers quickly run out of factories.
The locals say that the fire was very large so thick smoke utilizes it can be seen from a few kilometers away.
Initially, the fire department from Manjusar was pressured into the action, but when the flames outside the control, firefighters from the city of Vadodara were also called.
The fire department said that in addition to watering fire, the priority was also to ensure that the neighboring unit did not do it on fire.
As a precaution, gas cylinder from one of the neighboring units involved in the manufacture of industrial gases is moved.
Firefighting sources say that the fire can be controlled only by late at night.
Four firefighters from the emergency response center in Darjipura, Chhani and firefighting stations were involved in firefighting operations other than the fire brigade from Manjusar GIDC.
Another incident was reported from Bajwa Chhani Road where a saw factory caught fire at Wee Wee Saturday.
Official API said that the saw factory, which was involved in general in making wooden doors, was destroyed in a fire that began at around 3:30 a.m.
The fire was controlled in a few hours, but panic spread among the locals because the saw factory was in a residential area.
