Lucknow: Aam Aadmi Party is preparing to go alone in the election after the deadlock reported in talks with the Jamajwadi Party for the Seasharing formula.
The opportunity for the pre-poll alliance between the two parties was revived recently after MP AAP Sanjay Singh met with SP Head Akhilesh Yadav at Lucknow on November 24.
However, party sources show that talks, who have done so announced candidates at 150 seats, are expected to issue a second list of around 1.00 names a week.
The Vaibhav Party State spokesman Maheshwari said that the party was now preparing to oppose all seats in the state, as AAP had been declared before.
“We must be able to release a list of around 100 candidates in about a week and another list soon after.
With that, the names of the minimum 350-400 candidates will be formalized at the end of December,” he said.
The possibility of the failure of talks between the two parties appeared in front when party members received a message from members of the senior party, asking them to prepare all seats.
In November, after his meeting with Yadav, Singh had told Ti that the meeting was positive and they hoped to achieve an understanding of the possibility of the alliance for polls 2022 to defeat BJP.
The party has started preparations to deploy candidates in all seats.
A party member said that the filtering process had taken another step.
