Letter: The police arrested the 27-year-old women’s guard Komal Tandlekar on Saturday for alleged efforts to kill an eight-month-old boy in the city.
Tandlekar was caught on camera torturing and slammed the baby on the bed while his parents came out to work.
The boy is currently hospitalized and in critical condition, police said.
He suffered serious head injuries and other body parts.
Tandlekar was employed by Mithesh Patel to treat his twin when he and his wife both worked.
Patel hired Tandlekar when he knew him and he was his friend’s wife.
Patel works as a sports teacher in a private school while his wife is an instructor in ITI (Institute of Industrial Training).
Tandlekar is used to treat the twins without it.
The incident was revealed after the neighbor Patel told them a few days ago about twins constantly crying when they were with Tandlekar.
That’s when parents pay attention to the signs of a mild injury to the twin body.
So they installed hidden cameras at home.
On Friday, one of the twins fell unconscious and was hospitalized.
When his parents check the camera’s footage, they see tandlekar to turn the baby’s ear, bite his fingers and slammed it on the bed.
Within minutes of torture, the boy loses consciousness.
“When the father asked the allegations what happened to the boy, he said nothing.
Then when Patel checked the camera’s footage he knew about torture,” said a police officer.
Patel filed a complaint against Tandlekar at the Rander Police Station, based on the accused of being arrested on Saturday.
