Acb nabs 34 government employees this year to take bribes

Ranchi: The State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on September 7 captured Vinay Kumar, BLOCK Development Officer (BDO) Mandu under Ramgarh, red hand while accepting RS 45,000 bribes to approve poultry and goat plans for 30 beneficiaries.
BDO demands total number of Rs 90,000 for his approval.
However, beneficiaries do not want to pay and notify ACB about it.
During verification, ACB found the accusation correctly and put a trap to catch the officer.
Previously on August 18, Assistant Engineer (AE) Varun Kumar Ranjan was arrested by ACB Sleuths while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000.
Engineers posted in Blok Bharno from the Gumla District have demanded bribes to sign a measurement book associated with the Mnrega scheme well-built.
Source said as many as 34 government employees were arrested by ACB until August this year and a large number of them were officers, including BDO, AES and police sub-inspectors.
This government employee is looking for bribery for various laws and illegal works, including the issuance of certificates to claim insurance, land transactions, profitable report submissions in court, safety from the issuance of criminal and non-registration case in the police station.
ACB SP Kumar Ravi Shankar said, “We get more complaints about high-ranking officials over the past few months.
Previously, people worried whether ACB would take action against them or not.
After receiving complaints, we verify information in accordance with the standard operating procedure Before putting a trap.
“He said ACB often interacts with people through various ways and urges them to file complaints against corrupt government employees, including senior officers.
