Mangaluru: Frustration of a financial company suspected of harassing it for payment of Emis, a man set a motorcycle in front of the showroom in Shanthiyangadi on Monday.
The police said that Thasleem was accused, along with several others, arrived at the two-wheeled showroom and guessed a motorcycle.
The defendant had borrowed money to buy motorbikes from a financing company.
According to complaints submitted by Umesh R Moolya, a second-wheel distributor in Shanthiyangadi, the defendant attacked and pushed the complainant, when he tried to prevent him from guessing the vehicle.
When the staff at the showroom tried to prevent it, the defendant threatened to break their feet.
The defendant had an argument with the Showroom staff, and he complained that the financial company had harassed it, despite paying emists for motorbikes.
When the defendant could not find representatives from a financial company in the showroom, he and other people burned motorbikes.
The fire brigade from Bantwal arrived and poured fire immediately, so the vehicle in the showroom was not destroyed.
According to the complainant, they have caused a loss of Rs 1 lakh because of a fire.
Bantwal City Police have registered cases under various parts of the IPC.
