Varanasi: With more people, including children, infected by Coronavirus, the number of active cases crossed a 400 mark in the district on Thursday.
According to a daily medical bulletin, 174 including seven children aged 4-14 years were tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, increasing the number of active cases to 421 in the district.
However, two patients in house isolation were declared cured.
As many as 5,929 samples were collected on Thursday for testing.
The district also reported 16 new cases of Koronavirus infection on Thursday.
With new cases, the number of active cases increased to 22 in Jaunpur, where 2,643 samples were collected on Thursday for testing.
In the Chandauli District, 12 people included six positive women tested for Covid-19 on Thursday, increasing the number of active cases to 29.
A total of 1,676 samples were collected on Thursday for testing.
Sonbhadra Regency reported 13 new cases enhancing active cases to 22 in the current Thursday supply system, BLW hospitals have 25 oxygen concentrators.
