Nashik: The number of active detention zones in Nashik City has dropped from 58 to 36 for the past month.
The Covid scenario in the Division has increased a lot and out of 36 zones, 10 is in Panchavati, eight in Nashik Road, six in Nashik East, and five Division of Satpur and Nashik West.

The city reported about 16,000 detention zones in just three months – between February and April – due to a positive Covid case increase.
“But the trend began to reverse from the first week of May and cases began to fall.
With the fall of the number of new cases, the number of active detention zones decreased from more than 2,000 in April to 58 in the second half of September.
Now, the city has reported a further decline In the number of active detention zones for the past month, “said the official.
The first detention zone in the city was stated on April 6 last year and the first covid patient was found in the city on the same day.
Since then, a total of 37,949 detention zones have been made, where 37,913 zones have been removed from the list.
