Hubballi: An environmental lover has alleged that organized groups are working in slowly killing trees in the twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad.
Harshavardhan Sheelavant has noted in what pictures and videos he calls slow trees.
He said some people peel the stem and leave the tree bruise like that a few days.
When broken rods and roots don’t get enough water and food because of damage, the tree dries and dies.
Then, they send applications that demand that the dead dead tree be cut.
Harshavardhan told Tii that large trees were killed in Kuvempu Road, Navanagar, Hubballi.
