Jamshedpur: After a stable decline, the East Singhbhum District once again witnessed the increase in the new Covid-19 case.
In the last five days, 21 new cases have been reported in urban circles, including nine on Saturdays.
Of this number, seven came from Mango, while Baridih and Bistupur each reported one case.
“The infected family in the past few days is a local resident who contracted a virus in the city,” said the additional Chief Medical Officer Sahir Salam.
Contact search is taking place to identify people who come into contact with infected families in Mango.
The gradual increase in a positive number has pushed the total number of Covid-19 cases to 51,902.
50,825 people have recovered and 1,058 died so far.
At present, nine people are treated.
The first Covid-19 positive case was reported in the district on May 12, 2020, while the first death on July 4, 2020.
Dhalbhum HR Sandeep Kumar Meena said the administration was aimed at providing Covid-19 vaccination to minimize the maximum number of threats.
“With Puja Durga around, people who have not taken the first dose so far have to take the earliest vaccination because it will minimize risk,” Kumar said, who was also responsible for the district vaccination cells.
Beneficiaries, waiting for the second dose, must be on schedule, HR added.
In rural areas, 121 vaccination centers and in urban circles, 21 operational centers on Sundays.
“Along with pushing in vaccination, the drive mask will be launched to ensure people follow the Covid-19 guidelines,” said Pal.
