Daltonganj: Requestational District Administration has started a martial arts training camp for young girls in the area to empower them in self-defense and sharpening their personalities.
About 40 girls between the six and 16 age group are currently undergoing training in the sports complex here.
Deputy Deputy Lange, Abu Imran said that the majority of participants in the camp praised from a humble background trained in the white belt karate.
“The girls are enthusiastic and learning skills with great curiosity and dedication,” Imran said, who examined the camp a few days back.
Coach Akshay Kumar said, “It takes around six months regular training to reach a white belt.” Lesterhar District Sports Officer Shivendra Kumar Singh said there was a great enthusiasm among the Karate training participants here.
