Advocacy was arrested for journalist attacks

Mangaluru: A journalist from Kannada news channel was injured sadly after he was attacked by an advocate in the city on Monday.
Sukhpal Polyal, a general TV reporter, was injured after he was allegedly attacked by Yadunan’s advocate.
Mangaluru City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said the defendant was arrested in a case listed at the Urwa Police Station under the 307 IPC in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, Counter Case was also submitted under the IPC 324 and 341 section on journalists based on complaints submitted by Advocates, Kumar said.
The reason for the attack was unknown.
POLALI is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.
Meanwhile, Dakshina Kannada District Journalist, President of President Shrinivas Nayak Indaje has urged the city police to take the right action against the defendant who attacked journalists.
The journalist delegation filed a memorandum to the police commissioner.
