New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday asked the global community to falsify an integrated international response to handle the situation in Afghanistan.
Prime Minister stressed that without such a response, it would be difficult to realize the desired change in the Afghanistan situation.
Virtually participating in the Extraordinary G20 summit in Afghanistan, the Prime Minister welcomed the Italian G20 Presidential Initiative in holding a meeting to take a stock of the current situation in Afghanistan.
Prime Minister underlines the need to ensure that the Afghan land is not a source of radicalization and terrorism, regionally or globally.
He emphasized on the need to improve global joint fight against Nexus Radicalization, terrorism and drug smuggling and arms in the region.
Speaking in the Summit, PM Modi called for inclusive administration in Afghanistan to preserve socio-economic benefits for the past 20 years and to limit the spread of radical ideology.
He said there was a need for the international community to ensure that Afghanistan had direct access and without obstacles to humanitarian assistance.
He also reaffirmed support for the important role of the United Nations in Afghanistan and requested new support from the G20 for the message contained in the UN Security Council Resolution 2593 in Afghanistan.
Speaking of Indian relations with a torn country war, he said that the two countries shared the centuries of people-to-person connections.
He also mentioned that over the past two decades, India has contributed to promoting socio-economic development and increasing the capacity of adolescents and women in Afghanistan.
