Ambala: Representatives Minority Sikh and Hinduism in Afghanistan, including MP Narender Singh Khalsa who had flown to India after the Taliban took over Kabul in August, held a meeting with Maulvi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister of the Indonesian Emirates Afghanistan (IEA) government on Thursday.
The sources placed well in Delhi said Kabul MP Khalsa and Manjeet Singh from Jalalabad fly back to Afghanistan four days ago against the wishes of the Afghan minority group (AMG), a joint coordination committee consisting of Hindu and Sikh originating from India and Afghanistan.
According to the Afghan-based channel report, during the meeting, representatives of Hinduism and Sikh told him that they wanted to live in Afghanistan and play a constructive role in the development of the country.
“Maulvi Abdul Kabir told them that the Taliban government had provided security to all and that their policy for everyone, including a minority, was to live in prosperity and peace.
All ethnic groups and citizens have the right to live and contribute to the country’s development , “Aamej news reported.
Afghan minorities also demanded the return of land and property that seized, adding the report.
Apart from Khalsa, Gurnam Singh, President of Gurdwara Sahib Dashmesh Ribbon in Karte Parwan near Kabul and Ram Sharan Bhasin, a Hindu leader based in Kabul attended meeting, among others.
Efforts were made to contact MP Khalsa and Singh but they could not be contacted.
MP Khalsa had flown to India after the Taliban had taken control of the government in Afghanistan and on his arrival here, he had been destroyed while talking to the Indian press.
“We have never seen a situation like this in Afghanistan and now we see it, everything is over.
Even the government built in the last 20 years is complete.
Everything is now,” he said after being evacuated from Kabul on the Indian Air Force on August 22, 2021.
India later Evacuating 168 people, including 107 is an Indian citizen and the rest is Hindu and Sikh Afghanistan.
Another batch of nearly 100 people was flown to India in the second week of December.
The Afghan minority has brought some Saroops (the Bible) of the Granth Sahib teacher and several Hindu Scriptures.
