Vadodara / Anand: NRI-rich Dharmaj City in Anand District will celebrate the annual Dharmaj Day for the 16th consecutive year.
This city has held Dharmaj Day to connect the next genes with its roots.
As in the past, the Dharmaj Day celebration will be held on January 12 – marking Swami Vivekanda Jayanti.
This year, celebrations will be held in hybrid mode – a combination of actual and virtual events.
“Last year, the 15th Dharmaj Day was held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
But this year, we will arrange the event in the actual format when it will be flowed for those who cannot attend the function here,” said Rajesh Patel, founder of the Dharohar Foundation , Dharmaj, who along with Chha Gam Patidar Samaj, arranged the event.
“Last year, 25,000 people have joined a program in virtual mode through Youtube Channel and Facebook page.
This year, NRIS, especially from the United States and Canada, has begun to attend marriage and social functions.
For those who cannot attend offline programs, we Will stay streaming throughout the event, “he said.
Because, it is the 16th year that represents the young man, the committee has maintained a blue denim as a color code for participants while the theme of this event ‘root in, sweet fruits’.
Interestingly, the villagers will also disgust Dahyabhai Somabhai Patel who is 104 years old with Dharmaj Gaurav Award.
“He has made a massive contribution to social projects and he is the only survivor parents in our village who has crossed 100 years,” he said.

Maniisha Vrajesh Patel based in the US will be given a Dharmaj Jyoti award, while Jaimin Jayprakash Patel, chosen throughout the Indian University Cricket team will be given to Dharmaj Jyot Award this year.
