Nagpur: Unpending Patanjali food and Nagpur Private Limited Herbal Park have searched for two more months from the development company of Maharashtra Airport (MADC) to start the operation.
The company promoted by Teacher Yoga Baba Ramdev has missed the December deadline set by the Nodal Agency and now, has convinced to start production in February, according to Mihan officials.
MADC Managing Director (MD) Deepak Kapoor told TII, “After the deadline was completed, we conducted a detailed review of the project by sending a team.
After a long discussion, Patanjali officials now promised to start plants at the end of February.
They connected the late ongoing pandemic delay .
“Kapoor added that Indian multinational companies headquartered HariDwar had installed heavy machinery on their factory sites in the past eight months.
“They have also invested more than RS700 Crore so far on their factory site in Mihan, which is crossed by us.
They told us that some experts from Germany and other European countries should arrive on the site to repair machines and other equipment , but the third covid wave forces them to stay back, “he said.
On September 10, 2016, Patanjali has launched a Mega food park in Mihan, promised to recruit more than 10,000 young people and involve around 50,000 farmers.
It was allocated a large number of 230 hectares in the project and should start functioning in 18 months.
It was billed as one of the biggest investments in Mihan, which would attract other companies.
More than five years down, this project has not seen daylight.
“We do not defend the company’s failure to comply with the December 31 deadline.
We will label our report in terms of MADC Board of Directors Meeting.
Members will decide on the next action against the company’s management, including a criminal,” Kapoor said.
Adding Patanjali is a very important project for Vidarbha, MD said every time he visited Nagpur, he made him a point to review the company’s progress.
“Since I took over, I continued to push the beginning of the Patanjali factory and issued a deadline.
His executives told us that they would start surgery at the end of February with the early workforce of 200 people, and then employed around 2,300 longer.
