Bengaluru: The number of cases registered under the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso) Act-2012 in Karnataka has risen by around 15% by 2021 (until November) compared to the total 2020.
The state saw 2,427 cases in the first 11 months of last year .

In 2019, there were 2,146 cases.
While 49 suspects were punished in 2019 under the law, the number fell to 12 of 2020.
