Vadodara: After falling on Friday, the number of new Covid-19 cases in the city and the district reached a new height on Saturday.
3,709 new cases – the highest Vadodara has reported in a day since the beginning of the pandemic two years ago – was detected on Saturday.
The test level of the test has also crossed 30%.
On Thursday when 3,044 positive cases were found, the pioneering rate was 26.18%, this fell slightly to 25.86% on Friday when 2,941 cases were detected from 11,372.
However, the level of participants rose sharply to 31.38% percent as 3,709 new cases detected from 11,817 tests.
The number of active cases in the city and district also reached 15,749 on Saturday.
Sources said that it was still too early to predict if the case would continue to increase or if the peak was achieved.
“The Friday case was only slightly lower than on Thursday.
Also, a lower test was carried out on Friday,” said an official.
Friday, regions in the district outside the limit of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) have registered only 409 new cases.
This figure jumped up to 886 in this area on Saturday.
This is the main reason for a sharp surge, officials said.
