Bengaluru: The day after his house was sought by income tax officers, Mr.
Umesh, a personal assistant to the former Minister of BS Yediyurappa, has been sent back to Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
BMTC on Friday revoked his immersion to the CM office after Yediyurappa reportedly insisted that Umesh did not only work for him but also under Minister of Main Basavara Basavai.
Umesh worked as a conductor of the Drivercum at Depot Puttenahalli BMTC before he was appointed as a personal assistant of Yediyurappa.
He worked at the CM office for more than a decade even though the rules set a term of 2 to 5 years.
Yediyurappa said the raid had nothing to do with him or politics and would not have a bearing on the coming Bypoll.
“I-T officers have done their duties,” he said.
After Yediyurappa went down, Umesh continued at the CM office as an officer about the Special Task (OSD) to Bommai.
Umesh has been close to the Yediyurappa family since 2008.
The source claimed that most officers became representatives to the CM office during Yediyurappa’s tenure and which would still be repatriated to their airport department immediately.
The source said Sohuth I-T searched the residence of Aravind, a classmate of the son of Yediyurappa and BJP State Vicepresiden by Vijayendra.
The team was said to have searched the Flat Aravind and a house in Vasanthnagar in Bengaluru.
Raids I-T is happening in accountants, contractors and industrialists who are rented in Bengaluru, Bagalkot, Belagavi and Vijayapura Regency since Thursday morning ending on Friday.
Raids followed the complaints of differences in a large irrigation scheme in Cauvery and Krishna Basins applied by the State Water Resources Department for the past two years.
These projects experience thousands of crores rupees.
Towards the end of Yediyurappa’s term of office, Congress and several BJP members, including MLC Ah Vishwanath, have accused of large-scale irregularities in contracting contracts in the Bhadra project for Rs 20,000 Crore.
Searching for the former CM Ajudan property took politics as opposition leader accused that it was a message for Yediyurappa.
Former Chairman of the Minister of HD Kumaraswamy accused the raid being carried out to put Yediyurappa and his son by Vijayendra on the back side when they wanted to control the party.
Rural and Rusty Development Raj Ministers KS Eshwarappa said it was not true to dispose of suspicion of Yediyurappa because his house had been sought.
He attacked the Congress to make a big and crying hue every time there was an attack on their leaders.
“Congress leaders used to claim that they are targeted during the raid.
Now, they are tight lips.
Sleuth attacks the people they suspect,” he said.
