Rajkot: A Rajkot-based trader of sewing materials and sewing machine parts is on a rough surprise when he receives a text message from four different financial institutions that remind him to pay the emis for personal loans (pls) he has received from them.
This is when Bharat Makwana (40), who has a store in the GIDC Rajkot method, realizes that he has been a victim of cyber fraud executed by Mahavirsinh Solanki, sales agent for the mobile payment application.

He also accused Solanki transferring money received from the company to his own bank account using the Makwana cellular payment application.
Defendant Solanki hasn’t been arrested, police said.
According to the details of the case, Solanki approached Makwana in September last year and helped him open his cellular payment account.
Then, Solanki contacted Makwana after a few weeks and told him about personal loan offers.
Makwana wanted to take advantage of a 50,000 Rs loan, but Solanki said that the offer was for Rs 1.2 lakh.
They together agreed that Makwana would keep Rs 50,000 while the RS 70,000 left will remain with Solanki.
But when a financial company began calling for emis payments, Makwana contacted Solanki and demanded money back.
After delaying several months, Solanki met Makwana in December in his shop and asked him to give his cellphone to transfer money to his account.
But instead of transferring money, Solanki uses the personal details of Makwana to take advantage of instant online personal loans from four different companies.
After the money was credited to the Makwana account, Solanki transferred money to his own bank account.
Solanki did this when Makwana had left her cellphone with about an hour.
A few days later Makwana began to receive a loan payment message, but Solanki, meanwhile, went underground and could not be contacted.
Makwana, therefore, filed cheating.
Reveal that Solanki has used a similar method for cheating traders in Rajkot too, police said.
