Ahmedabad: Nearly half of the 20 people who came for a wedding at Hotel Sindhu Bhavan Road had been tested positive for Covid.
Guests arrived on November 25 and have returned to Bhavnagar on November 28.
Bhavnagar City officials said that three people from 10 were tested positively being given oxygen – a 77-year-old man, a 78-year-old woman, and a 55-year-old woman.
The three were stable, said the Bhavnagar City Health Officer.
The rest are all under house isolation.
Meanwhile, in Ahmedabad, all hotel employees who come into contact with guests are made to undergo a RT-PCR test.
A senior official Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation told Ti that the guests were residents of Vijayrajnagar Dairy, Satyanarayan Road, Row Road, Chowk Hill Drive Road, Kupani Circle, and Atabhai Chowk.
“It’s been five days since the guests left the hotel, and we were waiting for the RT-PCR test results from hotel employees,” said a senior AMC official.
“There is no extra protocol, the focus of omicron for marriage.
SOP prescribed by the state and central government applies to such events.” AMC will supervise visitors from 11 strange countries on the Omicron watch list.
