Ahmedabad: The city in 24 hours recorded 14 new Covid-19 positive cases, a hike almost doubled from 8 on Friday.
Likewise, Gujarat recorded 68 new positive cases, a surge from 60 on Friday.
With a discharge of 74 patients, active cases decreased 6 to 575.
Six active patients were in the ventilator.
New positive cases include 14 in the city of Ahmedabad, 12 in the city of Vadodara, 8 in the city of Letter, 7 in the city of Rajkot, each of Anand and Navsari, 3 of Kheda and Vadodara, 2 each of Devbhoomi Dwarka and Valsad, and 1 from the city of Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar City, Jamnagar City, Kutch, Mehsana, Patan, Rajkot, Letters and District Surendranagar.
Gujarat in 24 hours vaccination of 2.42 lakh people, took a total to 8.69 crores.
On Thursday, Gujarat reached a landmark in Covid vaccination by crossing a 4-crore sign for the second dose.
Because the country has 4.93 crore adult populations that qualify for vaccination, eight of every 10 adult Gujarat is now fully vaccinated.
