Ahmedabad: Complaints of Cheating Lakh Rs 1.97 Submitted by residents of Tragad, Karishma Ratnu, 21, with police Sabarmati, on Saturday.
According to Ratnu, he received a call from a woman who identified himself as a representative of the famous health and health brand on Thursday.
The caller said that he was a member of the sales and marketing team and he had a good offer for Ratnu.
Ratnu said that the caller, who identified himself as a twinkle, handed the phone to the ‘team leader’ Abhay Yadav.
Yadav then told Ratnu that he had been chosen for reward because of being a regular customer company.
Yadav told the complainant to choose from air conditioning, refrigerator, cellphone, television and laptop as a gift.
Yadav said that 50% of the amount spent on buying products will be replaced by the company.
The duo then asked him to provide details of the purchase conducted on the website.
He gave them a detailed purchase after that he received a link and when he opened the link he got another domain name.
He then stopped choosing another gift.
Immediately, he received a message for RS 54,907 transactions from his bank and the money was stored in the company’s account.
Ratnu then called Twinkle which convinced him that the deducted amount would be returned in three hours.
When he did not accept a refund, he once again tried to contact Binar, but this time he found the number was turned off.
Then, he contacted the bank and learned that Rs 1.97 lakh in several transactions had been paid to the company.
Ratnu told the cyber crime police on Saturday and submit a complaint.
